Every garment follows a deliberate path from your initial inquiry to the final fitting. Each step builds on the one before it, ensuring the finished piece is designed around the way you stand, move, and live.

We host private consultations by appointment at our Rochester studio.
Every commission begins with a brief, two-minute digital questionnaire designed to help us understand your wardrobe goals, the garments you’re looking to commission, and your timeline.
We personally review every submission and respond within one business day to arrange your private appointment. Understanding what you’re looking to build before we meet allows us to prepare relevant cloth bunches and design ideas in advance, keeping your time in the studio focused entirely on the commission ahead.
Consultation & Design
Your first appointment is a private, one-on-one consultation lasting approximately 60 to 90 minutes.
We begin by expanding on your questionnaire, discussing where the garments will be worn, how they fit into your existing wardrobe, and what you want this commission to accomplish. That conversation establishes the direction before a single fabric is selected.
From there, we’ll guide you through our library of fabrics, linings, and construction options, matching the technical characteristics of each cloth to the role the garment is expected to play. Every decision is made with the finished garment in mind, ensuring each element works together rather than standing apart.
Once the design has been finalized, we take a comprehensive set of measurements while documenting posture, shoulder slope, sleeve pitch, and stance. These observations capture how you naturally carry yourself, translating details that a tape measure alone cannot record.
Pattern Development & Production
Your measurements and anatomical observations are translated into an individual digital pattern.
Rather than simply adjusting a standard size, your measurements are treated as a complete system. A change in posture affects balance. Shoulder slope influences sleeve pitch. Every relationship is considered together to ensure the finished garment hangs naturally and moves comfortably.
Your pattern is reviewed as a complete system before the fabric is cut and production begins. Modern digital patterning provides exceptional precision, but judgment remains central to the process. Every adjustment must make sense in relation to the garment as a whole and the person who will wear it.
Most commissions are completed within four to six weeks, though certain specialty cloths and seasonal collections may require additional time.
Delivery & Fitting
When your garment arrives, we conduct an in-person fitting to evaluate how it performs in motion.
We’ll assess the drape, balance, comfort, and overall fit from every angle. You’ll sit, walk, button the jacket, and move naturally, allowing us to evaluate the garment the way it was designed to be worn rather than simply how it appears in front of a mirror.
Any necessary refinements are marked and completed by our tailoring team before the garment joins your wardrobe.
Your pattern is then updated with those refinements and securely retained on file, ensuring every future commission benefits from everything we’ve already learned.
